GreenAcres Equine Training

Dedicated to developing sound, willing, and balanced horses for lasting success at any level.

Our Philosophy

At GreenAcres Equine, true training begins with understanding how each horse moves, thinks, and feels.

Our program is built around what we do best: starting young horses with confidence and clarity, retraining horses who need a fresh start, developing performance horses to their fullest potential. We believe in an individualized program that trains the whole horse in and out of the arena and tailors their supportive care — because every horse deserves a program as unique as they are.

Our approach is rooted in classical dressage principles, equine biomechanics, and a deep respect for the horse as an individual because a horse that is comfortable, balanced, and confident in their body will always be a more willing and capable partner.

We believe a well-rounded horse is a better horse. Our cross-training approach draws from classical dressage, natural horsemanship, groundwork, and gymnastic exercises. We develop horses to be balanced, adaptable, and confident in a variety of situations, regardless of their discipline.

We don't just train horses. We build lasting foundations for their future.

Rooted In Experience

At GreenAcres, we welcome horses at every stage of their journey.

While our program is designed to support any horse and any discipline, some of our greatest strengths lie in:

Young Horse Starting & Development —

  • Starting a young horse is one of the most important investments you can make in their future. Our young horse program is built on patience, clarity, and a thorough understanding of equine biomechanics. We take the time to develop each horse mentally and physically, ensuring they enter work with confidence, suppleness, and a strong foundation to build upon for years to come.

Retraining & Behavioral Cases —

  • Horses that have had difficult experiences, developed resistances, or simply need a fresh start deserve a thoughtful and individualized approach. We specialize in identifying the root causes of tension and behavioral challenges, whether physical, mental, or both, to build a new foundation of trust, clarity, and comfort.

Refinement of Performance Horses —

  • For the horse already in work, refinement is about unlocking their full potential. Whether the goal is greater suppleness, improved collection, sharper responses, or preparing for competition, our program focuses on fine-tuning communication, developing strength and balance, and elevating the partnership between horse and rider.

Whatever your horse's background, history, or goals, there is a place for them at GreenAcres.

Beyond The Arena

The work we do outside the arena is just as important as everything that happens within it.

Biomechanics First: Identifying and addressing imbalances, tension patterns, and postural habits early helps keep horses sound, supple, and moving freely throughout their training.

Restorative Modalities: A horse cannot learn easily or perform well if their body is uncomfortable. That is why every horse in our care has access to integrated restorative modalities, including:

  • BEMER

  • PEMF

  • Red Light Therapy

  • Foam Balance Pads

  • Postural & Mobility Exercises

  • Monthly Osteopathy Check-ins

Every Horse is an Individual

No two horses are the same, and at GreenAcres, no two training programs look exactly alike. We take the time to assess each horse's unique needs, history, and goals to design a program supporting their mental, physical, and emotional development at every stage.
